Seed of Compassion

Hunger, the familiar pang of distress
Known to far too many
Use every last bit of what they’ve got
To try and feed the belly

Hunger and poverty are friends
But so is conflict as well
Conflicts cause food price rises
Often bringing a food insecure spell
